Settling in to a new life in a small rural village in Carmarthenshire, Wales. We've been here 2 months today, and what a fantastic time we've had so far. There has been some beautiful weather, a village duck race, local walks across lovely fields, visits from friends and family and now enjoying the bounty of our 6(!) apple trees and endless amounts of blackberries. No regrets so far! Feeling so much more in touch with the seasons here and Autumn is definitely in the air, looking forward to watching the changing countryside.
On the work side, whilst waiting for a lovely new studio to be converted (pics to come) I'm currently getting stuck into a new picture book and I will post some new personal work up here soon too. So stick around :)

It's brightening up
It's positively dreary outside today so I thought I'd brighten things up a bit with these recent ebay finds. I love this series of science books. I've had another one from the series for a few years now so I was really pleased to have found these to add to my collection. These are from the 60's and early 70's, fantastic illustrations. I will have to keep my eye out for more!

The last of 2012
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Apologies for the long post but just thought I'd catch up in one go, so here's the last of 2012. Had a fabulous trip to the South East coast. Above is Whitstable, beautiful place, yummy food and home to the wonderful Frank...
Next up, Rye. Another fantastic place, felt quite at home here. It helped staying at The Crows Nest above the amazing Lion Street Store many thanks to the owner, Sarah, for making us feel so comfortable! Check it out, they also stock prints by this fine man!
A short stop in Eastbourne on the way home.
Beautiful walk with beautiful friends in the Mendips. Our cheeky monkey turned 1, Happy Birthday darling! (The lovely dog is by super talented Sally Nencini)
I managed to crochet Harry his first stocking, was finishing it on Christmas eve just in time for Santa's pressies!
Here's to a creative and inspiring 2013!
